1.Agreement to these terms
Restora is honest about its limits, and these limits are part of this agreement. You acknowledge and accept that:
- Files are captured up to 20MB per file on the Free tier and 150MB per file on Pro; larger attachments are skipped and named in the backup’s warnings (external file links are kept as links). A database embedded on a page is restored as a link to the rebuilt database, and views deleted in Notion’s UI cannot be detected by the API.
- Restore creates new databases. All IDs change, and any links, automations, or integrations that pointed at the old databases or pages will break.
- Restore is not “100% lossless.” In particular:
- created and edited timestamps and authors reset — restored content is dated at the time of restore and authored by the integration, and page edit history is not restorable;
unique_id(auto-number) properties restart from 1, and drop their prefix if that prefix is already in use;- comments are captured in your backup and stay readable there, but are not restored — Notion’s API cannot re-create comments, for any tool;
- person / user property values are not restored — the column is recreated empty;
- files over your tier’s capture cap are not in the backup and cannot be restored from it; files that are in the backup are re-uploaded subject to Notion’s own upload limits — Notion workspaces on Notion’s free plan accept uploads only up to 5MB, files over 20MB require the destination workspace to be on a paid Notion plan, and Notion’s upload API rejects some file extensions and content types (a rejected file is reported by name; the rest of the restore proceeds); external file links are kept;
- backups over 80MB exceed the in-app restore limit (backing up still works);
- custom emoji restore only into the same workspace (standard emoji restore everywhere);
- page-layout views cannot be created by Notion’s API today — they are named individually in the restore report and re-added in one click; table, board, list, calendar, timeline and gallery views are restored;
- sharing and permissions are not captured — Notion’s API does not expose them, and the restored copy inherits the sharing of the page it is restored under;
- multi-column page layouts come back as a single column (content preserved), and synced blocks are unsynced or, when empty references, dropped with a report entry;
- a relation with more than 100 links restores its first 100 (Notion’s write API cap) — the remainder is reported;
- boards grouped by an individual status option come back grouped by status group, and board column visibility / “hide empty groups” settings may not survive.
- Restore is not atomic: if a restore fails partway, it may leave partially-created databases behind, and you may need to retry or clean up.
5.Eligibility and access
The Service has no user accounts. Access depends on (a) authorizing Notion through OAuth and (b) an active subscription. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to subscribe.
6.Your responsibilities
Paid access is offered as a subscription at $6.99 per month, or as a one-time 30-Day Restore Pass at $9.99 (early-access pricing, which may change for future terms; the price shown at checkout applies). Payments are sold and processed by Dodo Payments as the Merchant of Record — Dodo Payments is the seller of record and handles payment, invoicing, and any sales tax or VAT, under its own buyer terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; the 30-Day Restore Pass is a one-time purchase that does not renew and expires 30 days after purchase. Your subscription or pass is validated with Dodo Payments each time you use the tool.
9.Cancellation and lapse
You may cancel at any time through Dodo Payments. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. When a subscription lapses, is paused, or is cancelled — or a 30-Day Restore Pass expires — the paid features lock until a subscription or pass is active again. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
10.Third-party dependencies
The Service depends on Notion’s and Dodo Payments’s APIs and on Cloudflare’s platform. Changes, outages, or restrictions by those providers can affect or interrupt the Service, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
11.Intellectual property
support@restora.cc and we will try in good faith to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms waives any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law where you live.19.General
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between us about the Service. You may not assign them; we may assign them to a successor. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
