1.Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Taha Bakri, operating as Restora (“Restora”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of the Restora web application and website (the “Service”). By using the Service or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2.Not affiliated with Notion
Restora is an independent tool. “Notion” is a trademark of Notion Labs, Inc. Restora is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Notion Labs. Your use of Notion is governed by your own agreement with Notion.
3.What the Service does
Restora backs up and restores Notion databases — their properties, relations, rollups, and views — over a connection you authorize through Notion’s official OAuth. You select which databases to back up, and you choose a destination page when you restore.
4.What the Service does not do (scope and limits)
Restora is honest about its limits, and these limits are part of this agreement. You acknowledge and accept that:
- Restora backs up databases only. Standalone pages, wikis, and uploaded or hosted files are not included.
- Restore creates new databases. All IDs change, and any links, automations, or integrations that pointed at the old databases or pages will break.
- Restore is not “100% lossless.” In particular:
- created and edited timestamps and authors reset — restored content is dated at the time of restore and authored by the integration, and page edit history is not restorable;
unique_id(auto-number) properties restart from 1;- comments are not restored;
- person / user property values may break if you restore into a different workspace;
- uploaded or hosted files (images, file blocks, uploaded icons and covers) are not restored — external file links remain;
- board column visibility and “hide empty groups” settings may not survive.
- Restore is not atomic: if a restore fails partway, it may leave partially-created databases behind, and you may need to retry or clean up.
5.Eligibility and access
The Service has no user accounts. Access depends on (a) authorizing Notion through OAuth and (b) an active subscription. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to subscribe.
6.Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- having the right to access and process the Notion workspace and data you back up or restore;
- choosing which pages you share with the integration;
- verifying every restore yourself, and keeping your own independent backups of anything important. Restora is a tool to help you, not a guarantee against data loss, and you should not rely on it as your only safeguard.
7.Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service on data you do not have the right to process; attempt to bypass the subscription gate; disrupt, overload, or attack the Service; or use it to break the law or Notion’s or Paddle’s terms.
8.Subscription, billing, and Merchant of Record
The Service is offered on a subscription at $5.99 per month or $49 per year (early-access pricing, which may change for future terms). Payments are sold and processed by Paddle as the Merchant of Record — Paddle is the seller of record and handles payment, invoicing, and any sales tax or VAT, under its own buyer terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Your subscription is validated with Paddle each time you use the tool.
9.Cancellation and lapse
You may cancel at any time through Paddle. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. When a subscription lapses, is paused, or is cancelled, the tool locks until a subscription is active again. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
10.Third-party dependencies
The Service depends on Notion’s and Paddle’s APIs and on Cloudflare’s platform. Changes, outages, or restrictions by those providers can affect or interrupt the Service, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
11.Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Service’s software, design, and brand, except where the source code is published under an open-source license, in which case that license governs the code it covers. You retain all rights in your Notion content. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the hosted Service while your subscription is active.
12.Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any backup or restore will be complete, faithful, or lossless. We do not offer or imply any uptime or service-level guarantee.
13.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from or related to the Service — including any failed, partial, or imperfect backup or restore. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
14.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your processing, through the Service, of data you did not have the right to process.
15.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for abuse, non-payment, or to comply with law. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling and disconnecting Notion. On termination, your encrypted session cookie and the subscription id in your browser are cleared; because we store nothing server-side, there is nothing further for us to delete.
16.Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may change the Service or these Terms. When we change the Terms, we will update the “last updated” date, and material changes will be surfaced on this page or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
17.Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally or applies its own protections.
18.Dispute resolution
If you have a problem, contact us first at support@restora.cc and we will try in good faith to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms waives any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
19.General
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between us about the Service. You may not assign them; we may assign them to a successor. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
