The short version
- 20% recurring commission on the subscription revenue Restora actually collects from a workspace you referred, excluding tax, for as long as it stays subscribed and you remain a partner in good standing.
- A referral counts if the workspace makes its first subscription payment within 60 days of clicking your link. It locks to you at that payment.
- Each commission is pending for 14 days, then approved. Refunded or charged-back payments earn nothing, and are reversed if already approved.
- $20 bonus each time you reach another 20 qualified unique paying workspaces. Renewals don’t count again.
- Monthly payouts once your approved balance reaches $25.
- Say your link is an affiliate link. No self-referrals, no spam, no misleading claims, and no suggesting Restora is affiliated with Notion.
This summary is for convenience. The sections below are the terms.
1.Agreement to these terms
These Partner Program Terms (“Partner Terms”) are an agreement between you (“you”, the “partner”) and Restora (“Restora”, “we”, “us”) about your participation in the Restora Partner Program (the “Program”). You accept them when you submit an application, and the version you accepted is recorded with it. They apply alongside Restora’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; where these Partner Terms say something different about the Program, these Partner Terms apply.
2.Not affiliated with Notion
Restora is an independent product. “Notion” is a trademark of Notion Labs, Inc. Restora is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Notion Labs, Inc., and neither is this Program. Joining the Program does not make you a partner, affiliate or representative of Notion, and you must not say or imply otherwise.
3.Joining the program
- You apply through the application form. Every application is reviewed by a person, and we may accept or decline an application at our discretion.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into this agreement — on your own behalf, or on behalf of the business you apply for.
- The information in your application, and the payout details you later give us, must be accurate and kept up to date.
- One partner account per person or business, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- You sign in to the partner dashboard with a one-time link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox secure.
4.Referral links and attribution
When you are approved you receive a referral link. Attribution works like this:
- The click. When someone follows your link, they arrive at Restora with a sealed referral code in the page address. It identifies you and any campaign tag on the link, and nothing about them. No cookie is set and nothing is stored in their browser.
- The workspace. If they connect a Notion workspace to Restora in the visit that started from your link, that workspace is recorded as your referral candidate.
- The 60-day window. The referral counts if that workspace makes its first eligible subscription payment within 60 days of the click.
- The lock. At that first eligible payment the workspace is locked to you. From then on it cannot be re-attributed to another partner, and a workspace can only ever be attributed to one partner.
- More than one partner. If a workspace follows more than one partner’s link before its first eligible payment, the most recent click within the 60 days is the one credited.
Attribution depends on that code reaching the Notion sign-in. If a visitor reloads or closes the page, comes back to Restora later on their own, or changes browser or device before connecting their workspace, the referral cannot be recorded and no commission is due on it. We cannot attribute a referral by hand on the basis of a claim alone, though you can always ask us to look into one.
A workspace that already had a paid Restora subscription before it followed your link is not a referral.
5.Commission
The rate. You earn 20% of the eligible subscription revenue Restora collects from a workspace attributed to you.
“Recurring” means that you earn it on the first eligible subscription payment and on each later renewal payment, for as long as that workspace remains subscribed and you remain a partner in good standing. It does not mean the lifetime of the person who subscribed, and it ends when the subscription ends or when your participation in the Program ends (section 16).
Eligible collected subscription revenue is the amount actually collected for a payment on a Restora Pro monthly or annual subscription, after any discount applied at checkout, and:
- excluding tax — any sales tax, VAT, GST or similar tax charged on the payment is not part of the amount commission is calculated on;
- excluding any payment, or part of a payment, that is refunded, charged back, disputed or reversed (section 7);
- excluding payments that are fraudulent, or made in breach of these Partner Terms.
No commission is earned on: the one-time 30-Day Restore Pass or any other one-time purchase; free use of Restora; a workspace that was already a paying subscriber before the click; a payment on which nothing was collected, such as a fully discounted billing cycle; or your own subscription (section 12).
Currency. Commission is calculated, recorded and paid in US dollars. Where a referred payment is settled to Restora in a currency other than US dollars, it is not processed automatically: we review it by hand and, where commission is due, credit its US-dollar equivalent to your balance as a manual adjustment, at an exchange rate we reasonably determine. That can take longer than a US-dollar payment.
Amounts are calculated per payment and rounded to the nearest cent.
6.The 14-day pending period
Restora offers its customers a 14-day money-back guarantee, so each commission is pending for 14 days from the date of the customer’s payment. If the payment has not been refunded, charged back or disputed in that time, the commission becomes approved and counts toward your payable balance. Only approved commission is payable.
We may keep a commission pending for longer — on hold — while we look into a payment that may be a self-referral, fraudulent, disputed, or otherwise in breach of these Partner Terms. We release or void it once that is resolved.
7.Refunds, chargebacks and reversals
- During the pending period. If a payment is refunded, charged back or disputed while its commission is pending, that commission is void: it is $0.
- After approval. If a payment is refunded, charged back or lost in a dispute after its commission was approved — including after it has been paid out to you — the commission is reversed: an equal negative amount is recorded against your balance and deducted from your future earnings.
- Open disputes. While a payment dispute is open, the commission on that payment is held and left out of your payouts until the dispute is decided. If the dispute is decided in Restora’s favour the hold is lifted; if it is lost, the commission is void or reversed as above.
- Partial refunds. Where only part of a payment is refunded, we review it by hand and adjust the commission to reflect the amount refunded.
- A commission can be reversed once. Refunds to customers are governed by Restora’s Refund Policy, and we decide them without reference to the commission involved.
If your balance is negative it is carried forward and set against future commission. Where a negative balance results from fraud or a breach of these Partner Terms, we may also recover it from you directly.
8.The milestone bonus
You earn a $20 bonus each time you reach another 20 qualified unique paying workspaces: one at 20, another at 40, another at 60, and so on.
- A workspace is qualified the first time a commission on one of its subscription payments passes the 14-day pending period and is approved.
- Each workspace counts once. Renewals do not count again toward a milestone, however many payments a workspace makes.
- Each milestone is paid once. A bonus is added to your approved balance and paid with your normal payout.
- We may reverse a bonus that was reached through payments later found to be fraudulent or in breach of these Partner Terms.
9.Payouts
- Payouts are made monthly, for approved balances.
- The minimum payout is $25. If your approved balance is below $25 it is not paid that month; it stays in your balance and carries forward.
- Payouts are sent in US dollars by PayPal, Wise, or another method we agree with you, to the payout details you set in your dashboard. We cannot pay you until you have set them, and we are not responsible for a payout sent to details you entered incorrectly.
- Fees or currency-conversion charges applied by your payout provider or bank on receipt are yours to bear.
- You are responsible for any tax due on what you earn, and for any registration or reporting it requires where you live. Amounts are stated exclusive of any tax you may be required to charge; tell us before your first payout if you believe one applies. We may ask you for information we need to make a payment lawfully, and may withhold a payout until we have it.
- Commission on a payment under an open dispute is left out of payouts (section 7), and we may hold a payout while we investigate a suspected breach (section 16).
If you think a commission or payout is wrong, tell us within 90 days of the payout it relates to so that we can check it against our records.
10.Two months of Restora Pro
Approved partners receive two months of Restora Pro at no charge, so that you can use what you recommend. It is provided as a single-use promotional code for the Restora Pro monthly plan, covering its first two monthly billing cycles. After those two cycles the plan renews at the normal price unless you cancel. The code is for your own use, is not transferable, has no cash value, and earns no commission.
11.How you may promote Restora
- Disclose the relationship. Wherever you share your referral link, you must clearly tell your audience that it is an affiliate link and that you may earn a commission — for example: “Affiliate link: I may earn a commission if you subscribe.” The disclosure must be close to the link and easy to notice, and must meet the advertising and consumer-protection rules that apply to you and to your audience.
- Describe Restora accurately. For claims about what Restora does, use the approved copy in your promotion kit or what Restora itself says on restora.cc. Your own experience and opinion are yours to give, as long as they are honest.
- Follow the rules of the place you post. You are responsible for complying with the law and with the terms of any platform, marketplace or community where you promote Restora.
12.What is not allowed
You must not:
- refer yourself — earn or try to earn commission on your own subscription, on a workspace you own or control, or through an arrangement made to get around this rule;
- send spam — unsolicited bulk email or messages, mass-posted or automated comments, or posting your link where affiliate links are not permitted;
- make misleading claims — including that Restora guarantees against data loss, that a backup or restore is complete or lossless, or anything else Restora does not say itself;
- state or imply that Restora, or you as a Restora partner, is affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Notion;
- generate clicks or sign-ups artificially — bots, click farms, forced or hidden redirects, cookie stuffing, or paying or rewarding people to click or subscribe unless we have agreed to it in writing;
- bid on “Restora” or confusingly similar terms in paid search or other advertising, or run ads that could be mistaken for Restora’s own, unless we have approved it in writing;
- register or use domain names, social handles or app listings that include “Restora” or could be mistaken for Restora’s own;
- promote Restora alongside content that is unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or infringes someone else’s rights.
13.Restora’s name and materials
While you are a partner, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Restora name and logo and the materials in your promotion kit, as provided and without altering them, only to promote Restora under these Partner Terms. All other rights in the Restora brand, software and materials remain ours. You keep all rights in your own name, logo and content. If you add your logo to a co-branded graphic in the promotion kit, the graphic is made in your browser; your logo is not uploaded to us.
14.Privacy and customer data
- Your dashboard shows referred workspaces as numbers, with their campaign tag, plan, status, dates and amounts. We do not give partners a referred customer’s name, email address, workspace name or workspace content, and you must not try to identify or contact a customer through the Program.
- We keep the information in your application, your payout details, and the records of your clicks, referrals, commissions and payouts, in order to run the Program and to account for it. Our Privacy Policy describes this, and how a referral link is credited without a cookie, in full.
- If you collect personal data from your own audience, you are responsible for doing so lawfully.
15.Independent relationship
You act as an independent promoter. Nothing in these Partner Terms makes you an employee, agent, franchisee or legal partner of Restora, and you have no authority to make commitments on Restora’s behalf. The Program is not exclusive: you may promote other products, and we may work with other partners.
16.Suspension and termination
Leaving. You may leave the Program at any time by telling us at support@restora.cc.
Ending or pausing by us. We may end your participation, or the Program as a whole, at any time by giving you notice by email.
Suspension. We may suspend your account, your referral link and your payouts immediately, with or without prior notice, while we investigate a suspected breach of these Partner Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or activity that could harm Restora, its customers or a third party. While a referral link is suspended it still takes visitors to Restora, but records no referrals.
Termination for breach. If we reasonably conclude that you have breached these Partner Terms — in particular the rules in sections 11 and 12 — we may terminate your participation immediately. In that case we may void pending and unpaid commission and bonuses connected with the breach, and reverse commission and bonuses already approved or paid that were obtained through it.
What happens at the end. When your participation ends for any reason:
- your referral link stops recording referrals, and no commission is earned on customer payments made after the end date — including renewals by workspaces you referred earlier;
- commission that was pending at the end date still goes through the 14-day pending period and, unless voided under these Partner Terms, is approved in the normal way;
- where your participation did not end for breach, your approved balance is paid at the next monthly payout if it is at least $25. If it is below $25, contact us and we will settle it with you;
- you must stop using Restora’s name, logo and promotion-kit materials as a partner, and stop describing yourself as one. Sections that by their nature should continue — including sections 7, 14, 18 and 19 — continue to apply.
17.Changes
We may change the Program or these Partner Terms, including the commission rate, the bonus, the attribution window and the payout rules. When we do, we will update the date and version at the top of this page and, for a material change, email partners before it takes effect. A change applies from its effective date onward: it does not reduce commission that was already approved before that date. If you do not agree to a change you may leave the Program (section 16); continuing to take part after a change takes effect means you accept it.
18.No earnings guarantee; liability
We make no promise about how many referrals you will make or how much you will earn. Examples on our website are illustrations of how commission is calculated, not forecasts.
The Program, the dashboard and the promotion kit are provided “as is” and “as available”. Attribution relies on the referral code carried by your link and on our payment provider’s records, and we are not liable for referrals that could not be tracked (section 4). To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or business, arising from the Program, and our total liability to you in connection with the Program will not exceed the commission paid or payable to you under these Partner Terms in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from how you promote Restora in breach of these Partner Terms or of the law.
19.Governing law
These Partner Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory law in your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be excluded. If you have a problem, contact us first and we will try in good faith to resolve it. If any provision of these Partner Terms is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. You may not assign these Partner Terms; we may assign them to a successor.
